When my car is running for a little while and i am stopped at a redlight etc my car seems to jerk forward or jump also when i shut off my car and open the passenger side door i can smell like a burning smell in the crack of door where it opens there are no lights that come on its a 2003 buick lesabre

Get a new component belt...then we can check to see if your alternator is working overtime to try n' charge up a battery that is older than five years old~

...also the tensioner arm and idler pulley might be worn and not capable of keeping the necessary tension for the power steering and the alternator-- have that one checked too, while you are having it fitted with a new belt~

Sorry its not a limited its a custom 2003 buick lesabre does that make. a difference in you answer please get back to me as soon as you can anf also do you know if its very costly or not
