headlights on 2009 work on and off; dealer says he can't do anything unless they are off when I take it in.

This may be and issue with the head light relay on your car,it controls, the light,s when it get,s dark,and automatically cut,s them on,if relay is not the issue,it will be in the dimmer switch in your steering column,but i am, pretty sure it is the relay.
