the security light keeps coming on and wont allow the car to start, can we cut the wires to the alarm or will this make things worse?

Does the car have a chip in the key? Some of the later, more expensive GM have one. The other owners on this forum might have a method to get your car started. http://www.buickforums.com/forums/
