1997 Buick Park Avenue Molding

Asked by Banderson1331 Mar 04, 2014 at 05:33 PM about the 1997 Buick Park Avenue FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was wondering if the plastic molding along the door panels of the Park Avenue is glued
on or clipped on. Im asking because a body shop has offered to repaint the molding on
two of my doors because it is flaking off. They can't tell me if the molding is glued on or
clipped on until they detach it, but they say if it is clipped and the clips break they might
not be able to put it back on and I really can't risk this happening. Im just wondering if
someone on here has seen if the molding is glued underneath or not. Thanks so much!

Glued, 3M adhesive. I have a 97 and 2005, while replacing a door with one from the bone hard I tried to remove the panel and caused move body work for the door than if I'd of left it on.
