Why does my car not do anything? No power, no crank. Nothing?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car started ticking then got louder the longer I drove. My car then shut off while I was
driving. Once stopped, the electronics started to go crazy. Radio flashing on and off, The
gauges spinning. At first it would make a clicking noise when trying to start now it does
nothing. Door doesn't even chime anymore when the key is entered.

All electronics work now but still won't start. Only ticks.

OK, now check all of the fuses and relays (starter, fuel pump, ecm etc.) You also need to check the connection at the starter and the all ground connections.

I took the serpentine belt of and try to spin the flywheel and it wouldn't spin. I then checked the sparkplugs but they were dry and the oil I'd only black.
