Reatta rear calipers

The rear brake rotors were bad I replaced them
when the driver side caliper started leaking from
the emergency brake lever does that mean it's bad
if I received the stud and tightened it could I use
the same caliper

Remove the rear caliper to change the rotor the stud that the emergency brake cable connect to I invertedly tapped it and it started to leak if I tighten the stud backup would it reseal or do I need another caliper

. There is a "shaft seal" around that parking brake stud, I suspect it is bad. attached is an exploded view from the service manual...see part #26 also #7 is called a lever seal, it is more to keep dirt and water from the outside out
