I have a 1999 Buick Regal. When you turn on the turn signals nothing happens.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The turn signals were working but stopped for some reason. I have checked the fuses and all the lights. The brake lights come on when I step on the pedal. What could be the problem.

Do the emergency flashers work? Some GM cars run the directionals through the hazard switch. I have replaced a few hazard switches for this problem. Both circuits use the same flasher which is sometimes built into the hazard switch. Check the flasher first as it may be separate on your Regal.

yeah sometimes if you disconnect the battery since it uses those screw in posts it will cause the system to go crazy from intermittent connections. either use the emergency flashers first to re-enable the blinker or try reconnecting the battery with more force so the connection is without multiple sparking.
