Wiring for a mirror from a 1995 Buick Riviera to a 1998 Buick Riviera

Are I'm putting a mirror from a 1995 Buick Riviera
to a 1998 Buick Riviera and the hookups are
different but I see a lot of the same color wires can
I just splice the wires in using the same color code

It can be done. Color code wire doesn't mean anything. Test each wire to make sure it corresponds to the switch accordingly before you splice them together with heat shrink protection.
