Why does my car engine cuts off when i brake?

I have a 1990 AUDI 90, My car engine cuts off when i brake to stop, but it dosent happen when i am driving it around high streets. It happens when i drive it over 40mph the engine sign appears on the dashboard and when i brake to slow down and on junctions the engine cuts off.

You will need to have this diagnosed by a dealership, it sounds like one of the engine sensors is cutting out, or perhaps your fuel pump is going bad. There are too many possibilities to accurately diagnose online.
