Turning over strong but acts like there is no gas- car has sat for 6 months

Sounds like fuel pump or fuel pump relay. Listen for a whirring when you turn the key on, but before you try to crank the engine. This car does not, I believe, have a carburetor -- I don't even think they were optional by 1992. All fuel injection. If you don't hear the whirring from the rear end of the vehicle, your fuel pump isn't getting power or isn't working.
