i have a 99 silverado and it cuts out when accelerating and it died and acts like its out of gas

the first time it did it it was acting like i was out of gas so i put some gas in it after about 30 mins and it started up and acted funny for just a few secounds then ran better but still cut out when accelerating now i cant get it to start

Check your fuel pressure at engine. Possibly fuel pump when out.

Well I changed the fuel filter and it starts and runs but cuts out when I accelerate

Check your idle air control sensor, its pretty reasonable, i had a 93 doing that and replaced that part then the truck ran fine

I need help bad. My truck us a Chevy 1500 1995 and if I drive about 30 miles or so and hit a red light and go to hit the gas. I'll have the peddle to the floor and it will start off slow then out of no where kick in and speed up. And if I'm going down the high way and the cruise control is on and I'm going up a hill it will do that. Throttle slow then kick in and speed up. Also when I go to slow down pulling in some where the truck sounds like its about to shut off then comes back to normal. What wrong with it? 11 Answers

Ppl say it is my throttle body or my filter on my fuel pump or its I have no back pressure and my o2 senser is messed up since its straight pipe no cat converter. What is it.

I have a ticking sounds when I start my engine but it starts out kinda faint, but when it starts to warm up and I start driving it, it gets louder and faster. 9 Answers

Its a constant kinda ticking sound like metal is loose and hitting somewhere constantly. I've been told it was a lifter rod either stuck or gone bad. Any suggestions and low price solutions ??

i have a 95 chevy c1500 v8 200k plus miles. new battery. seems to short out and die, and wont restart. when key is turned on the amp gauge barely moves up. ive tried fumbling with the obvious wires (+ - wires etc) with no change. its done this once before. i let the truck sit for about a month then bought a new batt and problem went away. today while driving it died, with the same symptoms. also ive notice that when driving the blinkers make the amp gauge fluctuate down with every flash. thanks in advance for response 11 Answers

Runs fine then after while it starts sputtering and dies like out of gas. When I let it sit for 3 or 4 minutes it will start back up then go about a mile or two and do it all over again. 4 Answers

Temp. will run a little high but not always.
