That is a 97 Chevy Half Ton 2 wheel drive 5.7 Vortec I have replaced distributor
cab rotary button plug wires plugs air filter coil b
ut when I go to pass someone and put my foot to the floor it will downshift and
then suddenly pop or like I did miss and then it will come back to life but if I
continue to hold my foot down and it was going to pop again the only engine
light I had the code red was oxygen sensor and I don't know if that would cause
it

Mine was same way changed fuel filter had all kinds of power
