Why did my engine lock up?

What could cause my 97' 5.7 vortec engine
to lock up after replacement of the fuel
pressure regulator? It ran before doing this
work. It cranked over a few times after I got
it put back together, but now it's locked up
and won't do anything but clunk when I try to
start it. I removed the serpentine belt and
plugs and still can't turn the engine over with
a breaker bar in the crank

It looks like there's gas pooled up under the plastic intake when I lift it up. My thoughts are maybe I didn't have it installed correctly and it was just squirting gas down into the engine and maybe cut the oil from the piston rings causing them to seize in the cylinders?! Maybe I can pour a little oil down each spark plug hole and let it set for a day or two and help free it up? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated! I was indeed correct about not having it installed correctly. The clip that holds the fpr in place tightly, has to go back a specific way that I didn't notice at first. I have been soaking up all the gas and cleaning it up. It is now almost 5am so I am going to rest for a bit and then get back to it. Here's a pic of the inside of the intake manifold full of gas♂️. My engine has 300,000 miles and has never been taken apart. It shows too
