My brakes on my 97 chevy silverado sometimes when you are stop it feels like the brakes almost go out but they still stop just really slow and kinda feels makes a weird sound.

I'm not a macanic but I have same as your truck but a 95 I know what you mean about the slow stop. It's just the truck it the way they are. But there shouldn't be noise may want to trouble shoot

Could just be dirty or contaminated brake fluid, or air got in the lines. Brakes are likely in need of an inspection (pads, calipers,wheel cylinders, and rotors) Bleeding might help even if you don't replace any parts.
