1996 chevrolet cheyenne 1500 5.7 vortec wont start ran extremely rough just before it stopped running

Ive replaced all the plugs havent
changed the wires yet my code reader
says my cam and crank sensor are no
longer working would either sensor
cause it to not start if not what else
could it be i replaced the fuel pump
and filter recently
