Check fuel pressure, you may need a new fuel pump, float or gas filter change.
Fuel pressure is good truck has spider injection ruins great no hesitation just won't start without some type of additive either fuel down intake our ether
Did this ever get a resolution. I have one and have to pt a tad of gas in it to start. Running 50 to 55 lbs pressure on the rail and no pressure drop after shutting it off. It idles great but soon as you hit the gas it bogs down and or runs rough but idle fine. New fuel tank because old one was rusted possible clogged injectors?
Mine ended up being the fuel pump it had 55lbs key on engine off according to gm it needs 60lbs to start truck ran fine b4 fuel pump replacement just wouldn't start without pouring a little gas down throttle body other than that it ran great changed fuel pump now has 65lbs of pressure key on engine off and starts on it's own that was 4 years ago and still runs and starts great
Yours sounds like it needs a fuel filter bwhntr32
Guess the fuel pump got damaged with the rust. New fuel filter on it already and key on before engine start only 40lbs of pressure before putting pump back in the new tank rubbed the filter on the pump to take off the rust i could see. Damage could be inside pump. Guess after this round of sea foam will drop it again if it does not start to pick up pressure.
