Tranny differences

I have a 95 chevy Silverado with a 4l60e tranny
thats goin out!!! Will a 98 Chevy Tahoe with a 4l60e
tranny work for my Silverado???? I dont no much
bout trannys and i need help please

Mechanically it would bolt in, but there was a change in computers in 1996, from OBD1 to OBD2. I don't think that alone would prevent it from working though. 1998 did also see a change in number of splines on the input shaft. I would compare them before committing to using it.

The 95 is a stand alone tranny. Other years willnot. Lockup in low gear they get hot they wount last long I burned. 3 tranny before being told y
