Micey, on some gm vehicles in 95 there was a crankshaft position sensor problem and it spawned a recall. I am sure the recall is to old now, but it could still be your problem. It would help if you could extract the codes from your computer. Your truck is obd1, so you will need to google how to get the codes. It isn't hard. If the crank sensor isn't the problem I suspect a fuel delivery problem. Some injector cleaner wouldn't be a bad idea. The best thing would be to get a mechanic you trust to hook up a scanner that will read "live data" this means that they will hook it up and drive the truck until it dies. The data will show the fuel trim throughout the process and be more likely to pinpoint the problem. Hope this helps, Mike.
