94 Chevy Silverado 350 transmission was not disengaging jerking and stalling now fuse box transmission 10amp fuse pops immediately when turned on

There must be a bare wire eather in the harness or in side the trany.. could also be a shorted shift solenoid.

Found bad wiring in sleeve by starter and firewall, repaired Now transmission runs 2-3 gears, occasionally 4 gear comes back, not for long. Dropped Pan replaced filter, same issue

How did the oil look? Burnt, or orange? Any debris in the pan?
