My 1994 chevy C1500 pick up starts but won't stay running unless I keep giving it gas..and it is also like choking almost when giving gas..ran find yesterday

Is there an engine light on? If so have it scanned. when was the last the fuel filter was changed?
Now that gas is less expensive than before try using two tanks full of Super High Octane. 91/93, etc. The highest you can find. Also on the first tank of gas use 3 cans of Techron, and on the Second two. If this works for you, try using reg gas like Chevron, Mobil, Exxon, Shell etc. Try not to use the cheaper blends. I bought gas for 1.46 but I used a can of Techron.--Someone suggested that it had to do with the Ethanol that they put on the gas now days.So I usually place Ethanol free gas (gas for lawn mowers) in the tank when ever I can.
