Fuel issue

Asked by Jay Aug 18, 2019 at 07:53 PM about the 1994 Chevrolet C/K 1500 WT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’m having a fuel issue with my truck. I have
taken apart the throttle body an cleaned it
put all new seals an o rings in it. I have
cleaned the injectors. I have also put a new
fuel pressure regulator in it. I don’t know what
else it could be. It will fire up an run for awhile
then I go back to start it up a few hours later
an it won’t stay running. I know my fuel pump
works because I can hear it running.

Did you use a gage and check proper fuel pressure? TBI fuel pressure is 9--13 psi. I've seen fuel pumps that would run, but wouldn't make good pressure. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? The problem could be almost anything?
