I've heard a lot of good things about Motherthumper's street performance cam.I found this on their website: http://www.compcams.com/Pages/419/camshaft-breakdown.aspx#HydRoller. this might help.
You could always run a cam from and lt1 like out of a camaro it will really wake up that sbc in your truck. And its cheap to buy one new compared to buying an aftermarket cam.
do i need to do anything else to like new pushrods and rockers? what year of camaro does it need to be?
No your stock rockers and pushrods and lifters should be fine you could upgrade to roller rockers. Your sbc should have hydraulic lifters and should have a roller cam so any year camaro with an lt1 should work.

I'm pretty much in agreement there on the LT1 cam...it's gonna wake up the motor a fair bit but keep it driveable. The problem with camming a fuel injected engine is that if the lobe separation angle is too narrow (less than 114 degrees can start to cause problems), or there is too much valve duration and overlap, the ECU is going to have a hell of a time compensating for it...but you shouldn't run into those problems at all with an LT1 cam. Going to anything more radical is likely not going to make additional power without supporting mods AND you'd sacrifice driveability. Without pulling up Google photos to look at your engine, I'm assuming it's a 5.7.....does it have a MAF or is it Speed Density? I'm figuring MAF but if NOT, you *may* have to chip it if it won't run right. SD systems are notoriously poor at dealing with modifications.
I believe that came with TBI 305 (5.0 ).

What chip do you need to make it run. I put a cam in my 93 k1500 and now can't get it to idle. Help me please if you have a answer. 6208702173

I have the same problem I put a thumper cam in my 90 chevy 1500 tbi set up I cant get it to idle. Any advice?
That year has a flat tappet cam, not roller. Lobe separation of 112 degrees will work fine with the ECM (computer). I have read that the intake duration at .050" lift should be kept at 206 or less. (I have also read that if you keep the exhaust duration at .050" lift, 220 or below the ECM can still handle it. Change of springs, maybe. The intake duration would exceed 206. But that may be pushing it!)
what chip do i need for my 1994 chevy 5.0 i put a voodoo cam on it and it wont idle right and where can i get it from please if anyone can help

Im wondering the same thing with my 92 K1500. It already had a 203/212 Dual Energy Comp Cam when I got it, but I can't get it to idle over 550 when warm. Mine has a MAP sensor and i'm thinking something isn't meshing right with the ECM because it runs fine without the Electronic Advance connected.
