Warm/hot start problems

Asked by GuruV5YJ4 Aug 06, 2018 at 12:26 PM about the 1993 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Cheyenne Stepside RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Every couple of weeks my 93 Chevy C1500 5.7
won't restart after driving for a short while. I
have fully charged battery new starter and it
turns over real strong. If I let it completely cool
down it starts right up. I replaced the TCS but
that didn't solve my speratic problem. Can you
help.

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? When problem is ongoing, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If engine is hot, wear gloves. Check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. I'd want to see if system is running rich or lean? Just my opinion.
