Yes, That's how a diff works. unless you have a locker on an axle the wheel with the least traction will spin.

Single ( open ) carrier will spin only one tire. In reality you have a two wheel drive, one front one rear.
Will a transmission out of 1998 chevy tahoe 4x4 mount to fit the same in my 1993 ck 1500 chevy short bed 4x4?

i have a 94 chevy half ton ,i think[it has 6 lug rims] 4x4 with a 350 and a 6 inch lift. did chevy build this bodystyle from the factory? or was it cusomized? i dont think i,ve ever seen another one...
