Acceleration

1991 Chevy Silverado 5.7 having issue with heavy
accelerating it's a On off issue just dosent want to
accelerate right when constant speed it won't have
a issue took it to a Chevy dealer to have it checked
out they said it was a clogged catalyst took it to a
muffler shop that wasn't the problem just had the
engine and transmission repaired a couple years
ago changed the fuel pump recently just did a tune
up oil change fuel filter air filter cleaned it with sea
foam spark plugs and wires also the Distributor cap
and Distributor rotor changed the 02 sensor only
found one changed the air idle switch that fixed a
lagging issue on top speed but not the acceleration
or hesitation one also changed the pcv valve and
the throttle position sensor and a leaking vacuum
hose any help is much appreciated all the mechanic
shops I've tried recently name all the things I just
mentioned and the guessing game costing a little
much now so any help is much appreciated

I would look into the engine & transmission. Make sure the engine is times properly & have the transmission checked out by a qualified transmission shop. The torque converter could be no good causing your accelerations problems. I have worked on newer Chevrolet with the 4.8 and 6.0 V8 that had a similar concern to yours. Turned out to be the torque converter burned up causing the trans to wear excessively.

Okay so I got the timmer looked at and it's good took it to two different transmission shops to be sure both said it's okay but the engine ain't giving it enough power for it to shift gears fast enough, I took it to see if any codes would pop up none Idk why I never tried this before but I put it in neutral and when I pressed on the gas the engine would chuckle also so I'm thinking something with the throttle body??
