Got a 1990 chevy with tbi 350, I'm having a problem with my manifolds glowing red and when I mash it to floor it dies out then takes off but it idles fine

Your cats also may be bad. Have them checked also. Do have the fuel regulator checked to make sure it's getting the correct amount of air/fuel mixture. Our old Plymouth police cars had cats that ran very hot under sometimes normal police driving, and they glowed red. The cats were bad, and the air mixture was not set right. Some guys removed the air breather top to get more air in for more power, and it upset the computer a bunch. Make sure everything is buttoned down and you have the right air filter in the vehicle.
