Mercury Milan radio works, cd player does not. Also, the display no longer works

Have you had this problem resolved? I am having similar issues. The light behind the face of my stereo (I thought) burned out, then my CD player stopped working - radio still works. Now the front blinkers are both out. The left side would stay on all the time, forcing me to remove the bulb so as not to drain my battery. Now I have been told it's my car's jem (or gem) board. Was informed this is around a $900 repair.
Do you know what they were referring to as the gem board? Is that the fuse box under the dash to the left of the steering wheel or the car's computer in the engine? I have not resolved the problem, but was hoping it was a fuse. Wow, I sure hope it doesn't morp into my turn signals! If we discover any solutions, I'll let you know. $900.00 repair...that's insane!
caschus If the turn signals do not work properly that is a safety issue and there should be a recall, in my opinion, to take care of that. Bill
If the lights arwnt working on your radio it cpuld be some wires behind it are not plugged in also if the lights on the screen are faded or not on it could be your lights are wearing down or a fuse
