Something fell through a hole..?

Question type: General

So I don’t know what this part is called but the little
space in front of the center console and the gear
shift... under the radio. My car has a gap from
where a cigarette lighter or something was in the
side of that section. Something feel through the
hole. Where would I be able to find the thing that
fell through without taking my car apart?

    Only under acceleration smoke comes out of vents heavy metallic smell and burning hair, has no trash or leaves or plastic bags and does it all operations recirc, fresh air. A/c works fine otherwis...
