i had a air mass sensor service done to my car. can u tell me in details . what kind of service this is

I would suggest in the future you not approve any service you don't understand what they are doing. With that said it could be a matter of removing the sensor and cleaning off the build up of carbon from the heated element with a spray cleaner.
