Toyota Battery replacement
Asked by Ranae Apr 03, 2016 at 12:37 PM about the 2007 Toyota Camry LE
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I replaced the battery on my 2007 Toyota
Camry LE now the engine will not start. All
dash lights come on but engine will not
crank or turn over. Somehow a security
feature is keeping the car from starting.
Does anyone know how I can reset this so
my car will start? I have to go to work soon

You might also consider looking in the Owner's Manual for this vehicle. There may be a reset procedure you can perform. BTW does this vehicle have an After Market Alarm System installed?
After having to pay for a flatbed tow, found out somehow I blew a fuse upon installation of new battery. Total cost of battery replacement with towing, price of battery, and replacing the fuse... was $698.Ok will never do my own installation of anything on a Toyota ever...

Making an error upon the installation of an automotive battery these day is a common problem DIY make.. You only blew a fuse on this Toyota. You're lucky. These Cars these days are controlled by many computers. Toyota protects these computers by Blowing a Fuse when an error occurs. Chalk it up as another "Learning Experience"
Car was only towed 2 miles to auto shop... feel like it was a ripoff but I needed my car so what choice did I have. The fuse was not the small kind it was a larger type... still too much $$$
Did they tell you what fuse it was?
