Evidently the car has been sitting too long I put the key in the ignition nothing, Maybe I
am not doing something right? (example) giving the car gas then try to start. It is very
frustrating.

you don't say how long it has been sitting, but most car batteries will go dead if you don't drive the car for long periods- with all the computers and electronics, there is some draw- try jumping it and letting it run for awhile to see if the alternator will charge the battery (if may not take a charge if it has frozen over the winter). also, get some fresh gas for the tank if it hasn't been driven for awhile. I hope this helps.
