GMC Rolling in park

Just changed the oil and had the tranny fluid checked. Had the tranny completely flushed last summer too.
Also, when you are in park, aren't you up against the park..."Pin" or whatever it is??
This needs to be looked at by GM. My uncle has a 2008 GMC Yukon XL 4WD. When it is put in park it will roll away on its own. We first noticed it about 3 weeks ago, but thought it had to been that it was on ice or something and it rolled about 40-50 feet back. Well last saturday I was helping to unload groceries out of it with my mom and uncle. Just as I pulled the last bag out it rolled back. I seen the tires rolling. It almost ran me over, but I moved just in time to have it knock me on to my knees. Well the driver door was open and it caught me and dragged me about 40-50 feet. Well the tail gate hit me in the back of the head then the door got my arm pretty good. I am now going to the doctor for this. Today, we moved it to see what it would do and sure enough it did it right away as to where before it would take 15-20 min. It was just parked, with the EMERGENCY BRAKE ON and low and behold it rolled away again. When it drug me before, I got in it afterwards and it was in PARK. Not a driver error at all. I looked online and there are 2 other stories similar to this. Someone is going to get killed by this issue if it is not dealt with. If it would of run over me, I would of died and it came damn close. We are going to set up an appointment Monday to take it in. Is there anything you need to know, like where when and so on? It left me in pretty well constant pain from putting my back and neck out of place and my arm hurts all the time. So please look into this before someone gets killed!
i have a 2014 GMC SEIRRA SLE double cab 3 weeks old parked it last night went to unlock my door to my house looked back at the truck and it was rolling backwards. It was put in park when i got out. does any know of any recalls.
I would like to say I used to b a gm guy but I had a 2012 dodge cummins 1 ton and sold it bought a 2008 gmc 2500 hd and I think im done with gm I called them when my truck rolled away and they said it wasn't a safty recall but yet a key is a safty recall gms going down hill
2013 to 2014 gm vehicles with a 6 speed automatic transmission could have that problem. I am a victim of a defective of this problem and ended up losing my left lower leg as a result. I am the reason they came out with a bulliten but they will not issue a recall. TSB #PI 13360D. They don't care about safety

My 2013 4 wheel drive Silverado with the 6-speed automatic just wrote down the hill today and ended up in the woods I had it in the Auto 4 wheel drive mode and that's the only time it's ever done it
Jimmy. My grandma was injured a year ago due to her gmc rolling in park during which her Yukon ran over her leg causing permanent damage. I've been researching the topic the last few days and it seems there are only a few cases of this happening and luckily no one was hurt. However and unfortunately my grandma became the anomaly and even though she survived this may cause further damage to others in the future. It would be great if i may be able to talk with you briefly about the topic as I am considering pursuing further action.
Always set your parking brake and keep it serviced. Parking on an incline only in (Park) will strain the parking pawl and it will eventually fail. The truck doesn't have an emergency brake, it is a parking brake and occasionally needs adjusting and new shoes. And those with 4WD, don't leave the transfer case in neutral without the parking brake on either!

I have the same problem with a 2012 Chevy Express AWD. It rolls slowly while in PARK. I have looked up TSB #PI 13360D with no luck, Is this number correct? The dealership could not find it either.
My 2019 Colorado started rolling backwards while in park until it hit my boyfriends truck and now my truck has body damage and his is dented
There is a Technical Service Bulletin regarding Alleged vehicle rolls in Park or Park does not hold dated Oct 22, 2015. #PI 1360D. This is not a recall issue yet, but should be. If this happens the mechanic is suppose to inspect a number of items & remove the transmission oil pan looking for debris or damage. If nothing obvious replace the park pawl assembly.

My 2019 2500 just rolled down my driveway about 5 feet. My daughter yells down from upstairs and says “Dad your truck is rolling into the street. Very pushed right now lots of children on my street this big truck will kill them.
I have a 2011 Yukon and I am having this issue as well. I went to start my truck this morning and it had rolled 10-15 feet overnight and stoped with 8 inches of the nose of the truck in the street. I backed it up and let it warm up for a few minuets while I locked up my house. When I came back and reached for the door handle it started to move again. I looked down in disbelieve as I saw the wheels turning. When I got into the truck it was in park. When it moved over night It could have easily been sitting in the middle of the street. I live on a rural county road with a 90 degree turn just a few yards away. It could have been ugly if it had been in the street and someone hit it. GM needs to recall all of these vehicles and fix them before someone gets killed!
