Just finished tuning up my 02 jaguar xtype, but I'm affraid I didn't match coils w cylinders? Did I have to match them just like in any other vehicle? Cuz car won't start???

replaced spark plugs n didn't mess w
coils n it started right back no
problem! This time I replaced also
the coils n now it won't start up??

The coils on each plug can be placed wherever you like. Coils do not need to be "matched" to a particular cylinder. It is also hard to mess up the harness connections as they exit the bundle where they belong on a cylinder. More than likely you just missed a connector that the engine needs to fire. I would re-check and check again.
