Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1995 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale belt
just started squealing. Worse at times.
What should I do?
What's wrong?
I have never had any issues with my car.

You may need a new belt. It is also possible that you are hearing the power steering pump which might be low on fluid or going bad.

And/Or a idler pulley or a belt tensioner pulley. If so it will need replaced.

if you have an oil/coolant leak that'll get on there and make noise

Look at the belt with the engine off. If it is hard and has cracks then you need to replace it before it breaks.

If your belt has never been serviced it's overdue, replace it and see if the noise persists. If it does it may be from one of the pulleys.
