Abs and brake lights on Saab 9-3 (1999)

The two lights on my dash come on
and the Speedo stops working about
15 mins into drive and will then stay
on until the car hasn't been driven for
at least 12 hours. My mechanic has
tried to use diagnostic computers but
they won't connect to the car. My
mechanic doesn't know what is
causing the problem, the speed
sensor appears fine.

Over the last 2 days the car has
started to cut put, seems to happen
when I change down into second
gear - never when I change up. Starts
again straight away and drives fine.
I've never had this issue before with
my Saabs but I have always had 900's
(which have their own special
problems!)

Any help would ne very gratefully
received! Thank you.
