car not as described. many problems. paid by cercified check. what can i do. expensive repairs needed.

Did you sign something that said the sale was "as is", no warranty?

Then review your warranty and see what is covered. I would be surprised if a 1998 used car (Corvette or not) has any kind of warranty coverage. If you think you were cheated then you'll have to contact a lawyer or your state's AG office, or at least try to resolve the issue with the dealer itself.
