Before it shuts off, is there anything lighting up on your gauges?

It could be your timing belt, bad coil, or not getting fuel

I have similar problem when I drive normally for instant I'm at a red light and when I take off normally and when I go second gear and give it little gas it would some times lose power and wouldn't go over like 3k it would just stay there but when I let go of the gas it's back to normal

I had just installed a new idle air control valve and also new tps when it happens a cel light comes on after looked it up and it's for iacv
