ABS light on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently I was driving my 2003 jaguar x-type 2.5L
v6 AWD and suddenly lost my power steering and
came to a stop a red light. Just after, my car died. It
wouldn't start back up. So I pushed it into a lot and
had it towed home. After it went into the shop, I told
them that while it was there, they may as well figure
out why my check engine light and abs light were
on because I have inspection coming up very soon.
According to the mechanic, the check engine light
was on because I needed a new fuel pump (also
part of why the car just quit on me). They also said
the abs light was due to a bad wheel speed censor.
Also had a new battery put in as well.
Picked the car up, drive it home with no issues.
After turning the car back on to go out and get gas,
the ABS light came back on again. So I called the
shop (after they had closed unfortunately) and the
mechanic says it could be one of the other wheel
sensors or wiring.
I've already dumped a lot of money into this and
cannot afford much else. I need it to pass
inspection in a few weeks.
Would pulling out the ABS fuse turn my light off to
go through inspection and pass? I'm desperate
here.

I doubt pulling the fuse will solve your inspection issue because the computer still knows there's a problem and it will more than likely report a code through the OBD port. I'd have them check their original work and go from there.
