Engine system fault and gearbox fault

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Someone help.. I have a p1229 code. Engine system fault
and gearbox fault... Car will start but won't accelerate..
I've changed the throttle body and still same problem.
The car was running and working great but I happened to
change the valve cover gaskets so had to unplug some
sensors and the position sensor connector broke and left
the red and green wires loose, one of the wires made
contact with the battery which caused a spark and I may
have also of put the wires in the wrong place when putting
them in since they were loose. Could that have caused
ECM or TCM to go bad? Any help would be greatly
appreciated thank you.
