Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do I check to see if my 95 Land Rover
discovery is getting fuel? It's been sitting a
while the tank was empty so I put some
fresh gas, I can hear the fuel pump turning
on, but there's no starting??

Gas goes bad quickly in undriven vehicles. I would unhook the fuel line at fuel rail put catch pan under it. Turn key on and off to cycle fuel pump on and off. Do this till you smell fresh gas coming out. Then reattach fuel line to fuel rail. Now remove and clean all spark plugs. With plugs removed try to start vehicle several time allowing it to turn over a lot. This will allow the fresh gas to pump thru the injectors while also clearing it all out of the cylinder thru the open spark plug hole. After this reinstall spark plugs and crank it up.
