unknown leak please help

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dear all, I have a LR3 2006 right hand driver TDV6. Now find a small leak want to know
what is this oil and is it serious and how to fix it, thanks a lot !

If the oil is brown or black it possibly engine oil if it is red or orange it is transmission or steering oil but I recommend to check it by someone more ca

Thanks sirs. A garage said it is transmission oil duct. But I found in handbook only maintenance on steering, engine, coolant, brake fluid, washer, but no transmission oil. Is it a fluid can be top up by owner ?

no in that vehicle you must have tools and knowledge to top up the transmission fluid

Thanks guru. Looked up factory manual yes it is transmission duct. So must do it by pro. Thanks a lot !
