is this vehicle reliable? how does it handle and maneuver?

Asked by ehud Apr 12, 2008 at 01:36 AM about the 2002 Land Rover Range Rover 4.6 HSE 4WD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Does it ride and drive like a luxury sedan? I really want one and Im just bugged about the reliability. Ive seen on edmunds that a lot of people like this vehicle and say that its reliable. How does this vehicle handle on freeways, city traffic driving, and driving in the ice and snow? thanks

The only way you're going to be satisfied is to find one for sale and take it for an extended test drive. Drive it in all of the scenarios that will make you comfortable to purchase the vehicle. The reliability of these vehicles has gotten better over the years.

I've had my 93 3.9 Auto Classic for just over a year now, and wouldn't part with it for anything. It's got a few mods, gas conversion, stiffer springs, and sport exhaust (can't beat the V8 burble) and is an excellent all rounder for pretty much anything you want to do with it. Mines spent time doing recovery work towing heavy trailers, long distance motorway cruising, off roading, and fairly swift hurling along the odd back road. Never been able to fault its abilities.
