06 range rover supercharged 4.2l - temp gauge fluctuating and no heat

06 range rover supercharged 4.2l

Got an oil change and now the temp guage shows no temp, then suddenly
goes to the normal range, then rising to very upper range.  Car also doesn't
have any heat coming out of the vents.  Any thoughts?

Just checked and coolant reservoir is at or above cold fill line. Could I have air in the coolant system?

Look up on the web how to purge air from a coolant system.
