You can get any tire studded, but you need to live in a state that allows studded tires for winter.

We live in Utah and I slipped last year on a deeply slushy road. I was wondering if michalin tires have the best reputation for good tires. Doesn't there need to be a special indentation for studs?

Michelin tires are a great tire, but every manufacture designs tires for what ever conditions you are traveling in. Ah, an example would be mud tires are not designed to run in snow. As far as studding, I am not 100% sure, but believe they can stud just about anything NEW. Just ask the representative who is handling a tire what can be done, If he can't give you an answer, then he doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. You would want to go somewhere else... This help you?
