My 06 H3 Hummer won't after it rain or washed

Ive dealt with this problem on my 2007 H3 for years and did tons of research and finally got it fixed in my first attempt. In my case it was the Ignition Lock Cylinder. It cost just under $300 parts and labor. I'd advise not going to the dealer unless you want to pay twice that amount. I bought the part at AutoZone and took it to my local repair shop. It has started every time for the past 6 months since the repair and during several rainy days. Why the rain affects this device is unknown but I think the cylinder itself just wears out over time due to the constant weight of multiple keys hanging from the ignition.
