Oil Pressure light at idle only 2007 XL7

Just had oil pressure switch changed and the problem reoccurred. Light
comes on only at idle and goes off when over 800rpm. Just added some oil
conditional so hope that helps. ANy other suggestions?

Your engine may be worn or the oil pump could be worn out. How many miles are on the car and what oil do you use? Have you changed the oil and filter lately? I would try going to the next heavier grade and it might help a little.
104000mi. Oil changes every 3000. 5-30 grade. Just had oil pressure switch replaced and then added an oil conditioner to increase pressure. Only happens when it is warmed up and below 800rpm.
Check your pick up hose inside your oil pan, may be sludge blocking up your filter on the hose end. this will slow down or even stop your oil pump from pumping oil. just changed mine in the wife's xl7. her oil light would also come on and tell you low oil pressure shut engine off on her dash.
