Pressing the reset button worked for me. It is in the small hole at the top right of the face of the radio. Use something like a pen or toothpick and push it for 5 seconds.
the radio works but the screen is white sometimes or black, but if i hit the open button for the cd player the kia logo lights up on the screen.
