What did I do wrong in recharging my a/c?

Asked by Kapsap Aug 17, 2014 at 05:14 PM about the 2007 Kia Optima LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recharged 07 Optima ac and now when I try to run it it draws down engine power, almost
to stalling if out.

1 Answer

The pressure on a 2007 kia should be 225psi high side and 20-25 low side running at 2000 rpm. If you over filled it, take it to a SHOP it's highly illegal and just plain wrong to vent it in to the air we breathe. They have equipment to capture it when it needs work and must be taken apart, or over-filled
