Why do you need power to the accessories when the switch is off? Is that something you were used to and now you're wondering why it stopped?
I don't think you understand. I have to have my key turned to the ON position just to lock my doors with the lock button. I shouldn't have to have my key turned over or even in the ignition at all just to lock my doors.
You might have a faulty solenoid. You could try this, with the key on, try manually unlocking the doors then auto locking the doors a few times, then turn off the car and take the key out and try auto locking and unlocking the doors. If that fails you want to start from the fuse box and go from there.
I have already checked all the fuses. I think it's more than that. And more than likely not a solenoid. It's not only the door locks, but the headlights too. The trip mileage is also resetting itself each time the car is turned off. It's almost like there's no power whatsoever to the vehicle when the ignition is not at the on position or the car running. But there are some things that DO still have power without the key being in the on position. The hazard lights will work and the power port in the center console still works.
It's very odd. I know my way around a vehicle pretty well. But this has me at a loss. I've checked the fuses and relays. Thought about maybe a fusable link, but my car has none. Ground wire, the car would probably not run at all. It's just crazy. One day everything is fine. Next it's not. The car starts and runs perfectly. I'm stumped.

I am having the same issue. It started yesterday, and despite everything I am researching it seems no one has actually put anything online about it. I drive an 09 KIa Optima that, up until now, has only had the most minor of problems. HELP SOMEONE!!!

I had the same issue. Car would start just fine, but as soon as I turned the car off, there was zero power (except the radio and the screen for radio channels). I couldn't use the key fob to lock windows, windows wouldn't go up or down, no seat adjustment, etc. The dealership took a look and narrowed it down to the battery, and I told them the battery was fine (only 4 month old Duralast battery) as the car was starting. Eventually I had no choice, so I had them change the battery. It fixed all the issues. I admit I was wrong :) I'd had the battery tested at Auto Parts store and their machine said it was fine, but the dealership said that while the cold cranking amps, etc. were fine, there was some other "system error." Auto Parts store refunded the battery cost to me, but I was still stuck with a $150 bill for the dealership diagnosis.
