My 2007 Lincoln towncar ac controls do not work as they should. The AC & heater both work but the control has to be on highest setting for AC to come on and the heater only blows heat on drivers side.

It takes alot of knowledge and experience to repair and properly diagnose those, they can be tested for codes but inspections reveal quite alot more. familiarity with what they are supposed to be like is best found in the dealer service drive and service area. An EATC system and its sensors and modes and actuators are complex. It is best to goto them for a performance test and get the symptoms defined so it gets repaired properly. You can decide after they tell what it needs how you want to approach the repair. no guess fixing attempts that way. The tech has been to climate control school at the Ford training center, and takes classes by satellite at the dealer classroom. see what they say, they hear the common causes all the time under warranty. we always did when I worked on them.
